AI chief of staff

In one sentence

An AI chief of staff is an AI built to watch an entire company rather than a single task: it surfaces what deserves the owner's attention today, tracks whether decisions actually got carried out, and coordinates work that spans more than one department. The test that separates it from an assistant is initiative. An assistant waits to be asked; a chief of staff is judged on whether it notices things nobody asked about.

Search the term and most of what comes back is owners describing a setup they built themselves: a model wired to a calendar, an inbox, and a project tool, held together by a long prompt and a document one person keeps current. It's a reasonable first move and it can work, but the cost shows up later as attention, since every integration is something to maintain and the memory is only as reliable as the person updating it.

A bought one earns the title by doing three things on a rhythm instead of on request: a daily brief of what changed and what's waiting on a decision, a record of whether yesterday's decisions actually happened, and a habit of flagging the exception, a number moving, a rule tripping, before someone stumbles onto it on their own.

Glitch Team Zone builds toward this without using the title in its own product copy: a daily digest, tracked tasks, findings surfaced by a conductor that reads across the org daily, an opportunity loop that ranks what it finds by evidence instead of a guess, and one shared memory across all ten departments instead of a separate one per team.
